Oil: A life cycle analysis of its health and environmental impacts

Abstract

This report presents a brief discussion of the technical aspects of exploration, drilling, and extraction. It then addresses the physical disruption, chemical pollution and biological harm to surrounding communities, including the human health consequences from fires, blowouts, and spills. Finally case studies will be presented illustrating general points made throughout this section.
