Air Quality and Health Co-Benefits of a Carbon Fee-and-Rebate Bill in Massachusetts
- Abstract
This report builds a model to calculate the health co-benefits that would result from a carbon fee in Massachusetts. The results indicate that the health co-benefits of a carbon fee in Massachusetts can be substantial, even though the policy was not designed as a public health measure. The annual health benefits of the carbon fee grow as the carbon fee rises, and peaks in 2035 with this fee schedule.
