UW-Marshfield/Wood County is offering two classes focusing on weather and climate Oct. 24 and 27.
Bruce Kraisz will present Climate Change and Health Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m. Take a scientific look at global warming and discuss the possible health effects of climate change. This presentation is intended to be scientific and not political or religious. The cost is $10.
On Oct. 27 “Wake Up Wisconsin” Chief Meteorologist Justin Loew will lead Whys of Wisconsin Weather: Past, Present, and Future from 6-7 p.m. The course will feature an in-depth look at Wisconsin weather and explain why there is a large variation across the state. Loew will cover geologic history, climate influences, topography, and how weather might change in the future. The cost is $19.
